# Deleting Participants From the Event
A vital element of efficient event management is to delete a participant from your event when necessary. This goes along with [**adding participants**](https://support.b2match.com/en/adding-participants-1?hsLang=en) to your event.
There may be times when unforeseen circumstances or limited resources make the deletion of some participants necessary. While regrettable, it is essential to be ready to handle these circumstances if you wish to ensure that your event runs smoothly and is well-planned.
### How can I delete a participant from the event?
Start by clicking on ***Participants ***on the **left sidebar** of the Organizer's tool to access the participant's list.
Locate the participant with the **Canceled tag** and click on their name to open their **profile overview**.
Click on the ***3 dots*** in the upper right corner, and from the **drop-down menu** choose ***Delete Participant***.
This will trigger a web notification asking if you are certain about deleting the participant.
Click ***OK ***to proceed and delete the participant from the event.
Note: Keep in mind that before you delete a participant from the event, you must first [**reject their registration**](https://support.b2match.com/en/rejecting-participant-registrations?hsLang=en).
