Some events are all about discovering the perfect business partner and showcasing what you can bring to the table. Here, the marketplace feature becomes essential.
In this article, we will walk you through the process of enabling the marketplace feature on the b2match platform.
How can I enable the marketplace?
First, click on Configuration on the left sidebar of the Organizer’s tool.
In the Marketplace section, access Settings.
At the top of the page, you will see the Enabled check box.
To enable the Marketplace feature for your event, tick the Enabled checkbox.
This will reveal all the opportunity types you can configure for your event.
What opportunities are available?
Once you have enabled the marketplace, you will find 8 different opportunity types:
- Product: This type describes the product that a participant is offering.
- Service: Participants can describe the services they provide using this opportunity type.
- Partnership: If a participant is interested in forming a partnership with another organization, they can use this type to describe it.
- Project Cooperation: This opportunity type allows participants to specify the kind of cooperation they are seeking.
- Investment Opportunity: Participants can use this type to describe the investment opportunities they are looking for.
- Expertise: This opportunity type highlights the participant's area of expertise.

Note: By default, all other opportunity types are automatically enabled except for the Job Position opportunity which you need to manually enable by clicking on the Edit button.
Marketplace page on the event website
Once you enable the marketplace, your participants will be able to access the Marketplace page on the event website. Here, they can explore opportunities that have been created by other participants or organization representatives and schedule meetings directly from the Marketplace page.
To ensure participants can access this page, you must first make sure that you added it to the event components.
Note: If you choose to disable the marketplace, remember to remove it from the event components.
