Setting Up Open Virtual Networking
Virtual networking has become increasingly important as events move online, providing participants with the opportunity to connect and engage anytime wherever they are.
Networking doesn't have to be limited to just the event itself. By configuring your event to allow participants to continue networking after the event has ended, you can provide opportunities for ongoing connections and collaborations. So, let's get started and explore how to set up open virtual networking!
What is open virtual networking?
With open virtual networking, your event participants can conveniently schedule meetings outside of the designated meeting blocks, providing them with extended networking opportunities. Moreover, participants have the freedom to choose the length of the meeting when sending a meeting request. They can set the meeting duration to 15, 30, 45 and 60 minutes.
Tip: You can utilize this feature after the event has ended for post-event matchmaking, enabling your participants to network beyond the scope of your event.
How can I enable open virtual networking?
Navigate to Networking from the left sidebar of the Organizer's tool and click on Configuration.
Next, access the Settings tab.
Scroll down to the Open Virtual Networking section and simply click on the toggle switch to enable it.
After that, define the time span in which participants can book meetings by adding a start and end date and time.
After that, click on Save in the bottom right corner.
